How Much Does It Cost to Get Married at The Barn at Cedar Grove?

Published by AMY MITCHUM |

Every so often, a couple shares that when they told someone they’re getting married at The Barn at Cedar Grove, the response was:
“Ohhh, isn’t that place too expensive?”

We’ve heard it before. And we’re here to clear things up.

Most of the time, those comments come from well-meaning friends or family who aren’t actively planning a wedding, or who haven’t taken the time to see what’s actually included in our packages. And to be fair, it’s easy to get sticker shock when you’re only thinking about a single number and not everything that comes with it.

But let’s talk about what really goes into the cost of a wedding, and why what we offer is a lot more than just a barn.

We Offer More Than One Kind of Wedding

First things first: The Barn at Cedar Grove isn’t just one price, one style, or one experience.

Couples can choose from:

  • Tiny weekday elopements starting at just a few hundred dollars
  • Sunday and weekday weddings at reduced rates
  • Build-your-own DIY packages with a beautiful barn and setting that's not just a blank slate and a support team nearby
  • All-inclusive celebrations for larger guest counts that include setup, coordination, cleanup, catering, DJ, and more

Whether you're planning something intimate or hosting 200+ guests, there’s a starting point that makes sense, and we walk through those options together, based on your vision and priorities.

What You’re Actually Paying For (That Most People Don’t See)

Let’s be honest: most wedding venues don’t include the level of service, flexibility, or hospitality we offer here. It’s one of the reasons we hear from couples afterward saying, “You made this so easy.”

Here’s what you’re really getting with your package at The Barn at Cedar Grove:

  • Real people behind the scenes making things happen, from setup to send-off
  • Transparent pricing (no surprise fees or vague charges)
  • High-quality tables, chairs, and décor options, ready to go
  • A seasoned coordination team when you book all-inclusive or add on a la carte style.
  • Vetted vendor partnerships that save you hours of research and thousands in mistakes
  • A venue that’s beautiful on its own, no need to spend thousands decorating a blank space
  • And yes! We handle the cleanup. Always. You, your family, and your friends don’t lift a finger at the end of the night. That alone is worth more than most people realize.

“They cleaned up after the wedding and my husband and I were able to leave at ease. You get more than just a wedding venue.” – Ali F.

That’s what makes a venue worth it. Not just the space, but the support, service, and stress you don’t have to deal with.

When Couples Try to Piece It Together Themselves...

We totally understand the appeal of DIY, and we support it with our flexible packages. But more than once, we’ve had couples tell us, “We thought we’d save money by doing everything ourselves... then we started adding it up.”

Once you calculate the value of every piece of the puzzle....rentals, setup help, teardown, coordination, multiple trips to Hobby Lobby, florals and all the other “little things”, the real cost of a DIY wedding can sneak up fast. And that’s not even counting the toll it can take on your time and energy.

“I wish I could give them 100 stars... everything was so smooth and taken care of. We were able to enjoy our day without the stress.” – Katelyn

That’s why so many couples end up choosing a package with us after they’ve explored other options. Not because they want to spend more, but because they realize how much value comes with handing it off to a team that already has it all covered.

The Truth About Those “Too Expensive” Comments

It’s often the people who aren’t in the thick of wedding planning who make the biggest noise.

We don’t fault them for it. Most folks don’t know what goes into planning a wedding, what a DJ or caterer actually costs, or how quickly “a simple setup” turns into hours of labor and last-minute decisions.

But couples who’ve toured with us, compared pricing, and seen firsthand what’s included? They tell us again and again: “This is exactly what we needed. And it’s actually way more than we expected.” So, if you're comparing barn wedding venues in South Central Kentucky, you might just be surprised at what's included in a wedding package here.

You’re paying for peace of mind. For joy. For a day that feels like it was built just for you.

That’s not “too expensive.” That’s valuable.

And it’s our job to make sure you feel that every step of the way.
