When Monica and Caleb began planning their wedding, they knew they needed a place that would serve as a true middle ground. Monica grew up in Illinois, Caleb is from Georgia, and both come from small towns. With family and friends traveling in from different states, Kentucky felt like the perfect gathering place — and The Barn at Cedar Grove provided just the setting they were hoping for.
One of the sweetest things about this couple is how deeply they value the outdoors. They asked for a virtual tour since they were both from out of state. So, we connected by FaceTime. Monica shared how much she and Caleb love being outside together. She shared that Caleb proposed in creek! So fitting for these two! I wish we had a photo of that special moment to share.
For their wedding day, Monica envisioned natural, timeless details with a touch of color. She leaned toward sage green, specifically lamb’s ear and eucalyptus, accented with subtle pops of teal. This palette tied in beautifully with the summer landscape surrounding the barn. With three bridesmaids and three groomsmen standing by their side, their wedding party was the perfect size to keep the celebration intimate while still full of energy.
Because so many of their guests were traveling, Monica and Caleb wanted to keep the planning process stress-free and streamlined. The Barn’s all-inclusive package was the perfect fit. It allowed them to focus on their loved ones rather than logistics, knowing that catering, décor, and coordination were already handled.
Their July wedding brought together families from across state lines, blending traditions and creating new memories in our Kentucky countryside. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting of the barn, surrounded by trees, streams, and wide-open meadows — a true reflection of the couple’s outdoorsy spirit.
