A Kentucky Wedding Story Worth the Drive
In 2011, a soon-to-be bride wandered into an old tobacco barn on her grandparents’ Kentucky farm. Weathered by time and tucked into an overgrown meadow, the barn still stood strong. Carved into one of the beams was the year 1911. Exactly one hundred years later, that same barn would host its very first wedding.
What began as a personal dream has grown into a peaceful Kentucky wedding destination where couples come to slow down, gather with the people they love, and celebrate in a setting that feels warm and welcoming. Today, The Barn at Cedar Grove sits gently between Columbia and Greensburg, surrounded by rolling meadows, woodlands, and the quiet beauty of the countryside.
This place already holds more than a century of stories. Now it is where you will begin yours.
History Preserved. Thoughtfully Restored.
The barn remains the heart of our venue. During restoration, great care was taken to protect the original character and craftsmanship that make it so special, while adding helpful conveniences to support a smooth, enjoyable wedding day.
You will find:
• nearly 3,500 square feet inside the barn
• polished concrete floors
• accessible indoor restrooms
• a prep kitchen for your caterer
• six large barn doors that create an open, breezy feel and can be closed when needed
• a spacious patio just beyond the rear doors
Our bridal cottage and groom’s cabin are climate controlled, giving you comfortable spaces for getting ready while keeping the authentic character of the barn itself. We take pride in caring for our property with nature in mind. Rather than creating a residential or commercial look, our goal is to gently enhance the natural surroundings that already exist here so the land keeps its peaceful, authentic beauty. Everything is maintained with pride and intention. Our goal is simple. Create a beautiful, welcoming environment where you feel supported from beginning to end.
The Property
The Barn at Cedar Grove rests on more than 200 acres of woodlands and grassy meadows in South Central Kentucky. The peaceful surroundings allow you to choose the ceremony setting that best fits your day.
Many couples choose to say their vows:
• in the open meadow
• under the trees
• beside the water
• or inside the barn itself
The barn seats up to 230 guests, giving you flexibility for guest count and layout. A quaint bridal cottage and rustic groom’s cabin offer comfortable, separate getting ready spaces. We also provide access to a wide selection of décor items that you are welcome to use to help bring your vision to life.
Over time, we continue to thoughtfully refresh and refine the venue so that every celebration here feels special and stress free.

We cannot praise The Barn at Cedar Grove and their staff enough
When we looked for venues, we fell in love with The Barn at Cedar Grove and seeing it in person proved the pictures did not do it justice. We first started planning for a larger wedding, then decided a smaller elopement better fit our desires. Amy worked with us every step of way and answered our million questions with patience and understanding. With the elopement the staff handled everything from the minister, cake, decorations, you name it and they thought of it. Our small intimate ceremony was on a Tuesday, with only us and our boys. Amy and her staff catered to our every need and made us feel like we were having a million-dollar wedding. We cannot thank The Barn at Cedar Grove for making our wedding day a true fairy tale. It was absolutely perfect."
